Old Oak Estate Farm Bolden Bluebird Trail

In 2015, an Eastern Bluebird trail was established to promote this insect eating bird and it's habitat.  Since the establishment of the Prairie Reserve, the population of insects have tripled, thus the Eastern Bluebird is important to this prairie ecosystem.

Called the Old Oak Estate Farm Bolden Bluebird Trail in part named with Mrs. Gail Bolden of Belleville, IL whose gentle persuasion help encourage the trail.  Currently, the trail is monitored by both, Mrs. Bolden and Mrs. Borawski-Hayes with data tracking being performed by Nestwatch.org.

Below is the 2015 trail nestbox locations.
